HIV/AIDS Counselling follows a strictly confidential, ethical and practical approach whenever an individual present with signs or symptoms of HIV infection or AIDS, whether the counselling is necessitated by a positive diagnosis, or whether it might aid their clinical diagnosis and management.

After having been provided with comprehensive information to enable informed consent, the individual may voluntarily opt out of being tested should a positive test not have led to counselling.

Counselling normally provides the individual with information on prevention of future transmission of HIV, whether the patient is infected or not.

The diagnosis of Terminal Illness imposes on the diagnosed individual a myriad of subsequent concerns not only limited to practical, financial and logistic concerns, but also concerns pertaining to the finality of becoming deceased, mental preparation for the often unfamiliar near future, fear and anxiety. While such individual might rely on close relatives for support, the latter my prove lacking owing thereto that loved ones suffer the same concerns and challenges.

The Counsellor acts as the interim source of initial support and offers the guidance to the eventual processing and development of coping skills and approaches to lead the diagnosed individual to complete this journey with dignity and resolve.

Individuals in need of Spiritual Counselling is supported and guided by the counsellor to embark on a journey of exploring and establishing their Ego Identity. The counselling approach if individually suite to each unique case, and recognises belief systems, subconscious and superconscious states of awareness and spiritual theology. It promotes the realisation that life is intrinsically personal and guides the individual to develop a relationship that resounds with their spiritual identity. Enabling the establishment of this outcome, the process is approached from the soul, being led by the heart, while respecting the mind’s conscious involvement.

Counselling in benefit of Wellness Enhancement follows a holistic approach that includes recognition of physical-, mental-, interactional-, career and study wellness, self-love and general state of contentment with all factors and aspects of life as the individual knows it. The counsellor offers a tailored approach to provide guidance and the development of skills and approaches to resolve issues raised which may be inhibiting the attainment of optimal Wellness, or to improve, promote and maintain optimal Wellness.
